Mineral Oil Truths and Myths

I thought the controversy was over about mineral oil in skin care, but the subject came up yesterday when I was sitting around a table with a few women, so I thought it would be an interesting subject to blog about.

Right up front, I will say I have been selling Mary Kay for 10 years. I started my image business 5 years ago and I use Mary Kay when I do color/makeup analysis. Very often my clients want to buy the products I have used on them but I don't try to "sell" them. I even have references for other skin care lines.

So, having said that, let's get into the fun stuff.

I referenced The Beauty Brains, http://thebeautybrains.com/whoare/, a group of cosmetic scientists who research skin care products, makeup, shampoo, etc. They share their unbiased expertise through their blog. There are two parts for mineral oil and it will probably take some time reading it because it is so entertaining reading the comments and the Beauty Brains counter-comments!
